Please note that the following calendar has been generalized to give parents an idea as to a typical WEE Center annual schedule. As such, it is subject to change. Date-specific calendars are provided at the beginning of each school year.

	August - Week before Labor Day	Teacher preparation days
	Thursday evening before school starts	Parent Orientation Meeting
	Friday morning before school starts	Open House for parents and children
	September - Tuesday after Labor Day	First day of WEE for children
	October	WEE closed for Rosh Hashana
	October	WEE closed for Yom Kippur
	Late October (two days)	Fall Fun Fest (during school hours)
	Mid November (two days)	WEE closed at noon for parent/teacher conferences
	Wednesday before Thanksgiving	"Thankful Soup," then WEE closed at noon
	Thanksgiving and the next day	WEE closed
	December - Week before BCPS closes	WEE closed for Christmas break
	January 2 (or when BCPS reopens)	WEE reopens
	First week January	Registration open to WEE and Woodbrook members
	Mid January - M.L.King Day	WEE closed
	Mid January	Registration open to public
	Mid February - President's Day	WEE closed
	Late March (two days)	WEE closed at noon for parent/teacher conferences
	Early April	WOYC/Teacher Appreciation Week
	April - Week of BCPS Spring Break	WEE closed for Spring Break.

	Friday after Memorial Day	Last day of WEE school year; closed at noon

Also of interest:

WEE closes 3-4 days per year for staff professional days.

There are typically two Family Fun Nights scheduled during the school year, with live entertainment and snacks.

School portraits are scheduled twice per year, with individual and whole class photos.

Several in-school special events are presented each year, including magic shows, live animal talks, musicians, etc.

The 4 year old classes take several field trips to places like the zoo, nature center or performances at the BSO or Goucher College.
