Typical Day

Learning Through Activity Centers - Art, blocks and construction, books, home living, science and nature, music and movement, sensory table, puzzles and language arts, computer, writing and other manipulative play.

Group Time - Stories, songs, finger plays, games and conversation revolve around a weekly unit theme, such as seasons, animals, machines, friends, helpers and weather.

Snack Time - Around 10:00 a.m. a healthy snack provided by WEE (Menus are posted, as well as sent home on a monthly basis)

Outdoor Play - Two age-appropriate separated areas with play structures, sandbox, spring horses, riding toys.

Indoor playroom - Tumbling mats, rings, parachute play, etc.

Lunch - Around Noon, brought from home.

Play time - Until pick-up (outdoors, weather permitting).

Also:

• The Woodbrook Baptist Church's Musical Director works with the children regularly.
• Special performers (magicians, animal specialists, musicians, etc) are brought in periodically to entertain and educate the children.
• The four year old classes go on several field trips to places like the Baltimore Zoo, nature centers and performances at Goucher College or the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
• Three and four year old classes have "Show and Tell."
• There is an extensive on-site library available for the children's and teachers' use.
