Photo AlbumAll the WEE Center classes do activities not easily summarized in a few sentences. Here is a small sampling of the fun "extras" we do around here! Crazy Hat Day is enjoyed by all the classrooms. Some children bring in hats from home; others make them at the WEE Center.
WEE Center held a "trike-a-thon" to help raise funds for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Everyone gets in the spirit of Sports Day!
Easter is a fun time to learn about our Lord and enjoy the custom of hiding and finding colored eggs!
A highlight of the year for the four-year olds is the field trip to the Baltimore Zoo.
Many classrooms watched the development of a catepillar into a chrysalis and onto into a butterfly. We released them into the wild after we enjoyed their colors for a few days.
The children had a lot of fun creating a working "volcano" and learning about the chemical reaction that happens when baking soda and vinegar are mixed!
Sometimes when the sun is really baking, we have a "Get Wet Day" -- hugely popular with the children!
One Family Fun Night included the entertaining songs and antics of the musical duo, Milkshake. Participation by children and adults alike headed up the fun, and an ice cream social rounded out the evening.
Mother's Day is always very special, and at the WEE Center many classes invite the Moms in for a party, complete with gifts from each child.
WEE often brings in special events for the children, including this musician who shared songs as well as interesting musical instruments.
Graduation for four-year old students is the final fun ceremony of the school year, where every child is called up to recieve a personalized certificate. "WEE will miss you!"
